Register a domain while you sign up, or move one you already own. A small site pays one flat annual fee, and a new account cannot run up a bill past that.

The domain
Buy a domain here, transfer one in, or attach one that stays at its current registrar. All three give you the same DNS management. - 2
The DNS
DNS starts pointed at your new site automatically. Customize the record table yourself any time - nothing is overwritten without asking. - 3
The website
Upload your files, then activate. Activation swaps the whole site at once, so a visitor never sees a half-updated page. - 4
The mailbox
Off by default, so the MX records stay yours. Turn it on when you want a catch-all or named aliases forwarding to an address you confirm.
